very cool for the game, which have more then 100 cards in base set, when most of such games have it containing all paid additional decks ; )
Its cool that there are a lot of new cards ! ( although most of them are debuff cards) Now that the game is much more balanced/harder...I think a card that can delay a monster's attack for 1-2 turns to give you time to build up your investigator will be a welcome addition to the deck!
I sent pre-release 1.1 version to few players, as well to violentv, so feel free to attack him with questions I was thinking to do "attack monster when you're ready"... so you can slide up your investigator to monster which is upper any time you're ready...sure to have max additional cards, that could be putted onto monster (to not have monster with 1 mln cost). what do you think?
Maybe I'm slow, but after many games I *just* realised...in the board game section, I've been pressing the reveal button every time, but if you drag your finger over the mist, you get a cool view of the room! This whole time I've been thinking wow that board game art looks good, but it's so tiny! I'm so daft =P Also would you believe the spreadsheet has 99 cards in it, but I have 100 total and can't spot what's missing yet >.< or maybe I miscounted! If anyone spots what's missing, let me know. https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AsdcCVCOS5oVdFFpMHdMR3lKMGFxTllhNXJJbURsdWc&hl=en&authkey=CM_azeEO By the way I love how there's a Servant of Nyarlathotep, a Yog-Sothoth Spawn, then "The Elder Thing". Hehe, Mr Lovecraft was having a creatively dry day that day. "I'll call it The Elder...Thing. OK, done."
very cool, from first look I don't see "THE NECRONOMICON" relic card, which appeared in 1.1 "The Necronomicon" x2 score can be placed on empty or taken monster slot 0 mythos scores +0 strength +1 sanity no dice roll chance adding +1 turns (for board game if Base Set + Extended) also I see "chance" column, they should be spread on hazard/luck/etc columns, I'll provide more info later, 1.1 now pretty much harder in balance and we still changing balance ; ) about fog - yes, there is art for each room "inside look" after you will take away the fog and cool search video ; ) I believe we need add some more tips to the game in some game-parts as far little pity to hear players missing something because we did it unclear
Holy crap! If you're slow, then so am I. lol I totally missed that too. I think it's not intuitive BECAUSE of the reveal button. There's definitely no indication that tapping on the mist would do something different than what the reveal button does. Suddenly there's a bunch more stuff to explore (all those videos to watch )! BTW, I'm pretty new to Lovecraft - I'm reading Call of Cthulhu now - great stuff. What's even more interesting is I went to school at Brown U. and remember someone mentioning once "and that's where H.P. Lovecraft used to live". I knew the name, but couldn't really appreciate it then. Wish I'd read some back then...
yeap, people, you can only write about crashs (all games on appstore crashing, and its not because iDevice, the same is on any platform, more or less), but you don't know how much stuff hidden in the game, and you still not explored everything, there are tons of stuff that usually eyes will not catch in nearest time ; )
Hmm, I wish I knew what you were alluding to =P I've crawled over every screen in the game trying to find like a hidden button or something, nothing yet. Even those four activatables on the menus, the wound, eye, maggots and mouth? I worked out the 24 combinations of pressing them in different orders, then tried them all. No luck =( It was a cool idea at least! Thanks for the help with the missing card too. That's weird, I have 100 in my deck and I've never seen that one. I do crash when I get to 10 cards left (sorry to bring up crashes again!), maybe it keeps ending up at the bottom of the deck.
"Version 1.0 on SALE for 0.99 50% off until Monday, Novemeber 14." I was going to buy this game before Monday, but guess what? Novemeber 14 is Sunday. It's too late. You guys make so many mistakes. Good luck.
Oh good, now hurry and go give it a 1-star rating and write a revenge review before we get the update out. Thanks.
I'm so jealous of you Vovin, since you can apparently play this without experiencing the bugs. I seem to have problems more than you and NEG. I can never make it through a game with either of the two builds I have. I am dying to actually play it through though.
I'm still on version 1.0 and I've played it through numerous times without the bugs. I find that if you're careful about where you tap and place the cards you can avoid the "card getting stuck" glitch pretty easily actually. If I get down to 10 cards left (or so), it still crashes, but I'm able to re-enter the game and go straight to the end board game and keep my score. My biggest problem right now is breaking 60,000 points. I know how to do it, I just always seem to get hit with a run of bad luck that comes along and puts the boot to my awesome strategy. I do think it's too bad that so much of the focus here seems to be on the bugs. I mean, it's great that the bugs are being identified so that the devs can look into them (which they've always been very vocal and active about on the thread), but the thread has seemed to decline at times into whining/bitching about them, which isn't really helping anyone. Bugs be damned, I've enjoyed this game a hell of a lot more than anything else I've played recently.
@@. what sort of problems are you experiencing on the 2nd build? more or less works fine for me .. and I have played this game to deathhh. and zomg... 2 pple have broken my highscore in OF!
It crashes every time I get to a dice roll screen. I'd love to talk more about the game than the bugs, but yeah, ya know, when it crashes or the cards freeze every time I play it...yeah. I certainly do love the glimpses I've seen of the game though, and I've never been so charitable to a game that, um, cannot actually be completely played before. So that clearly says a lot about the quality of what's here.
