I know Fallout 3 is amazing, but I don't wanna be playing that when I get New Vegas, maybe afterwards when the GOTY goes cheaper (which I'm sure it will). Never played the Sly Coopers, but loved inFamous so thought this was my chance to try their earlier games. Yah I know...
Yeah, I didn't really care for the cars much, but the real reason I loved it so much was for free roaming around the massive island with cities and villages and mountain roads and the scenery was pretty, especially at sunset. Buying houses was cool too. I remember buying a lovely house in the mountains with a sea view and a winding mountain road that led to the sea. I really wish I owned a house like that in real life, lol.
So I've been playing Uncharted 2 now and finding it an absolute totally engrossing game. Still fairly earlier into it because I'm simply astounded with the graphics and play and just getting through the train wreck is awesome. Now I'm curious as to Uncharted 1. Is this game just as good as the 2nd? Is is lacking anything much and is it really worth playing now that I'm playing the second one first? Is there a continuing storyline or anything that pickups up in Uncharted 2 that I'm not aware of from the original? Or is Uncharted 2 pretty much a stand alone game?
I haven't played Uncharted 1, but from what I've heard it's not quite as good. The graphics aren't as good and I think it's a bit less dynamic and less action-packed.
I probably will sometime. I played the demo and enjoyed it. Doesn't seem quite as polished as UC2, but still very good.
Yeah UC1 is an awesome game. I prefer 2, but I couldn't really pinpoint why... they're pretty similar in terms of quality and entertainment. Just started playing Lego Batman. The best thing about the Lego series is you know what you're getting since they're all essentially the same formula. Not the best games ever but they're nicely polished and great fun in co-op. Oh, and totally addicting due to how many unlockables each game has... gotta collect everything!
Ah, what memories are brought back from LEGO Star Wars.... Quirky, cheesy jokes, tons of secrets to unlock, nice puzzle elements.... And co-op was awesome. Great fun, even now that I've drifted into the "pop culture" of gaming that is giant explosions and big guns.
Canceled PS3 exclusive from a long time ago, just found out about it now. No clue why it was canceled or what happened to it. All I know is this was announced BEFORE Alan Wake.
Woah. That was pretty cool. It just seemed slow paced for a FPS. But it looked promising. Wonder why it was canned.
Ubisoft sent me an email with a beta code for AC Brotherhood, and i didn't preorder or buy psn+! I downloaded it(2.8GB), played it a bit, and it's pretty fun. Animations and graphics are great and there is absolutely no lag even on my slow connection(but maybe that's just because of the small number of people online) However there are still some flaws. for one thing it is very hard to choose the character you want to play as, because each character can only be chosen once. basically whoever is quickest gets the coolest looking characters. Also there are no counters for assassinations. i know it would be nearly impossible to get a kill if they added the ability to counter, but it is still aggravating to see your pursuer slowly sneak up behind you with no way to avoid getting stabbed. I'm really excited to see how this game turns out
Source: http://www.unseen64.net/2009/01/29/redwood-falls-x360ps3-cancelled/ But I'm pretty sure it was PS3 only, but btw this was the video they sent to devs. This is not cancelled, well I think it only got put on hold. But !!!
Anyone out there who's a little tired with the design of the PS3 controller and the slim? With Xbox getting a new controller, a new design, new software, new etc. etc. etc., I'm kinda hoping Sony will give us something fresh to use. Either way, I'm excited about Killzone 3!
No, I tend to look at the screen. Anyone else tried the Enslaved demo? The frame rate wasn't perfect, there was noticeable screen tearing and a fair few jaggies, and what the hell was up with the movement delay? Press jump then a second later he jumps. The same goes for walk/run movement too. Regardless, I quite liked it. It's not perfect, but it's a fun action romp to pass the time. The environment was pretty and enjoyable to play in too. The biggest problem for me is the reported 8-10 hours you get before it's over, you win some, you lose some.
I really liked the demo Johnny. Actually liked it a lot. Definitely one of the better games coming out half 2 of 2010. I was thinking it's time for a new PS3 controller, with some really good triggers.
My bro in law got one this way too but he is having trouble redeeming the code. Did you redeem it from the PS store?
