Exactly how I felt about the game. The game was solid. Nothing much like the previous FF releases, but still made out to be a great game. Loved the style, loved the animation, loved the graphics, loved the mechanics. everything. It was just fun. BUT I too don't want them to stick to this format. As I can see if getting old after a few games.
Me too. I'm actually looking forward to it the most out of the FPS games in 2011. Crysis 2 is a close 2nd. The fast platforming mixed with the shooting looks great.
Your not alone, I've been hyped for a long time! Nobody was very hyped with me though... Too many good shooters coming out next year though... Brink, Rage, Portal 2, Crysis 2, Killzone 3, Resistance 3, etc. Anyone seen the new Crysis 2 trailer? Parkour, car-kicking, sliding, alien-throwing, etc. Pretty epic, I'm skipping out on Killzone 3 for this, and maybe Resistance 3 too.
I was excited about Crysis 2, but now I've lost interest. The next game I'll get will be TDU 2 and that will probably last me for a while.
Can we post our PSN's on here? Mine is my username so add me to play FIFA, NBA 2k11, Motorstorm, Midnight Club, Gran Turismo, Madden, etc.
I lost interest before too. Went on to look at Killzone 3. But this trailer really sparked my interest again and now I want it. (Since I can't play Halo, and this looks just as good or better than Killzone 3)
I'm a little worried about TDU2 after all the social stuff they've thrown in like the casino DLC... I hope they aren't ignoring realistic car control for the sake of making the game easier. I can deal with arcade handling but let's not get too simple. Still looking forward to it anyway, can't wait to go for a cruise. Looking forward to Crysis 2 as well, it's just too early for the hype to hit me. Plus... DiRT 3. The gymkhana mode looks awesome, 50+ rally cars covering five decades including the 60s Mini, Lancia Delta Integrale and Audi Quattro, 32 rally stages over snow, rain, ice, gravel, grass, tarmac, rocks and mixtures of each. Apparently it's the most content-rich racing game Codemasters have ever done, which is saying a lot when you look at the likes of TOCA 3 and Grid.
I couldn't care less about the casinos, clothes, houses and social crap. In fact I'll probably play the single player most of the time. I just want to cruise around Ibiza and Oahu, aimlessly just for the sake of cruising. I often find myself thinking too much in video games, sometimes it's just nice to lie down, put some nice music on and drive around and explore the islands without having to think too much.
Wow... That trailer was amazing. I now can't wait for Crysis 2. I didn't think it would be that fast paced. Wow. Yeah, 2011 is going to be an amazing gaming year. I don't consider Portal 2 as a shooting game... First 2 purchases, ME2 and LBP2. Then Portal 2, Brink, and Crysis 2. Besides that, I'm looking forward to Uncharted 3, inFamous 2, and the next Assassins creed. Maybe Rage, maybe Killzone 3 (with move) and a couple other maybes. I can't wait.
Can you play against someone next to you in split screen on black ops for the ps3 (not spec ops, I mean in either combat training or a private online multiplayer match)? does it save the unlocks the person sitting next to you had? Cuz I know that for the 360 it doesn't, unless you get gold.
Well it would be pretty hard to play either of those games without fighting. It's not as peaceful as you might think, wandering around in the wasteland with a good chance that a deathclaw will out and rip you to pieces. Plus the islands of Ibiza and Oahu are much much much bigger with actual roads and varied environments.
2011 is THE year to be a PS3 owner, exclusives everywhere you look. I'm (possibly) getting ME2, LBP2, Crysis 2, inFamous 2, Resistance 3, Portal 2, Rage, Brink, Motorstorm: Apocalypse, Battlefield 3, Uncharted 3, Elder Scrolls 5, and Mass Effect 3. I'm going to have to skip out on a few that I listed though, that's just too many games
Well even then it would be pretty boring just running about slowly, travelling short distances and not having much variety in the weather and environment/scenery. I think the real problem is there no cars and the maps are tiny in comparison. They are completely different games
Yeah... still not remotely similar. One's an action RPG, one's a racing game. I dunno why you'd assume they were related in any way at all other than the fact they both have virtual environments... which all games have.
