Hi guys, I've just started playing The Quest (the original game, no expansions yet) and was wondering if there will be places within the game where I can stash my equipment? I'm already running out of space in my backpack and I don't dare to sell some of the things as they just might be useful in the future! So, are there places where I can store my unused equipment? Cheers! bManic
At the end of the base game you'll get a house. In all the HOLs you get someplace with permanent storage, whether it's just a shelf, a house or a condo. : ) I hope you enjoy your journey. : )
What would you say is the best race/class for the game? I seem to die everytime I go out of the first city...
Ok, that's good to know. So I better just sell off any extras that I can't use immediately? I'm only in the very beginning of the game (level 8.. done most Matras and some Vastares quests). Cheers! bManic
Chillingo Trailer: make it stop! I just recently launched v6 for the first time, and noticed that you guys added a Chillingo animation (with sound) that automatically plays when the game launches. To make it worse, the sound plays regardless of the set preferences about sound. I know that this is all the rage with game developers these days, but can you make it stop? Please?
Mage. Also put points in alchemy and environment magic, get mark/recall spells as soon as you can and every attack spell you can afford. Unfortunately I lost my save data and I don't want to play it all over again, but I'm still buying every expansion that comes out, just to support the devs for making the best rpg on iphone (for me at least)
Its a mandate from Chillingo that all Chillingo games need to have that trailer at the beginning of the game now.
Agreed, though the mage can be boring, he is powerful. I only played thru part of HOL I, and it did have tough points, but being able to mark a spot, head back to the first town (best place for alchemy), make 100 potions/sleep at the inn/etc., then recall and finish a battle...lol...its practically like cheating
As JoshCM has said, this was Chillingo's idea, not ours. But because the video disrupts any already playing sound, making it impossible for players to listen to their own music for example, Chillingo tentatively agreed to my proposal to make the intro video optional (settable in the settings). I hope this will be in the next version.
Hey, I just grabbed the Lite version of this and it seems pretty cool. I was just wondering if it's possible to import saved data from the Lite version to the Gold version, as I'm worried that if I get too far and have to redo everything I may lose interest.
Yes of course. The "Transfer saves to The Quest" option on the main menu can transfer to The Quest and to The Quest Gold both.
Hm... I don't see such an option. Is it in the full version? At any rate, good to know. This might be my next purchase. EDIT: Found it. I hadn't actually saved yet, had just been using the autosave.
What would you say is the best race? I will play as a Mage, but dont want to be very vurnarable to Magic. What would you say is the best race for this use???
Use mage, you are then extra resistant to magic Also you can always enchant stuff to improve your resistance to illness etc.
Sometimes when you cross borders you get odd results. : ) So not surprised. It's typical but random occurrence of an area where there might be too many monsters or you're crossing a border.
Thank you; I hope this is in the next version as well. This is a classic example of developers (distributors, I guess, in this case) adding a feature that solves a problem they have but not a problem that users have; one would hope they would know better by now.
