Yeah, I should have saved up more gold and done this a few levels ago. I have at least 800 enchant space on my current gear that's just sitting there, but it would cost at least 10-15k to enchant it all, so I'm finding myself exploring and killing monsters for loot / gold. I'm also getting to the point where I'm running out of alchemy ingredients to make resist magic potions, but they were awesome, over 100% so if the enemy forgets to cast magic resist on themselves, whatever is above 100% bounces back at them and hurts them Anyone got any ideas as to what areas are good to farm for gold/gear? I think I'm either level 11 or 12.
The mysterious man doesnt give me any more missions to do so im not sure what i have to do. Anyone else have any ideas?
Are there any cheats for this game? Like infinite money. I play the card game and make 50 copper at a time by using necromancer but if there's a quicker way, it would be great. Thanks in advanced
What class to pick? I didn't even notice that there were class packages. What races to pick? Derth is the mage race (and mages are good from the beginning in "The Quest", unlike in most other RPGs) and Etherim is a good balanced race. Didn't try anything else, but IMHO Rasvim, with their magic vulnerability are probably for advanced players. I mean, magic-slinging enemies are pretty deadly as it is. OTOH, what skills to pick - well, IMHO Alchemy is a must. Beyond that - an armor skill. Keep in mind that you'll be able to buy Light Armor skill in the first 2 settlements you encounter, while Heavy Armor trainer is only in the third and pretty difficult to get to settlement. A lot of quest rewards are great heavy armor pieces, too. Persuasion is useful in quite a few quests. Etc. Also, buying training even in the major skills would make the character much stronger. About the quests: Nobleman's Inheritance - IMHO, the heir gives the best reward, as his heavy cuirass has great AC and is highly enchantable. Everybody else just gives some money and a bit of crappy jewelry. Re: the Evil Eyes, you need to get close to them, their melee attack is pretty weak and they stop flinging magic. Without Resist Magic potions, I guess that you need a character with lots of HPs and heal every step or two. Oh, and stuff curing some other conditions would prove useful for this quest too.
The "cave" where the Amazon Queen is. It looks like a hole in the ground and is in the section of the map in/near the Passageway/Bushland section (I can't remember exactly). EDIT: See pennydreadful's post below, I knew I didn't remember exactly!
well I did thurums quest already and freed the father a couple days ago. He said check back with him for something at his house. He's still not there and the quest is active. He's not in the cave either I just checked
wheres the problem with enchanting? Buy a wand of enchant and use it as often as you want! How? When you got one charge left, use it on the wand itself - voila, it's full again. I'm not using magic anymore, only wands.
I finally caved and bought this game and it's great so far! I killed my first character already, couple of quick questions... Do enemys respawn at all or once they are dead the area is clear? Is there any fast ways of travel later in the game because the map makes the game seem huge and I would hate not being able to fast travel sometimes. Are the creators of this game adding more content or just updating the exisiting things and just improving overall gameplay?
I'm fairly certain enemies respawn, although I'm not entirely sure when. I'd guess after a day/night cycle but I'm not sure. Yes you can fast travel with the Mark & Recall spell. How many slots you have depends on how high your intelligence is. For every 5 points of INT you get 1 extra slot. I have 6 now and it's awesome, specially if you're working on a quest that requires a lot of back & forth. You can mark ANYWHERE! Redshift have been constantly updating the game since release but these are mainly added options / improvements / bugfixes and not content. They mentioned they were working on bringing The Quest expansion to iPhone. No time line on when this will be, though.
Thank you, great answer! I might have to play a spellcaster rather then a fighter in this case, battles are turnbased anyway.
And in Mithria, 500 per game. Otherwise, don't know how to get more money. I played the card game a lot in the beginning (in the V city.)
I have a Nogur, and at 14th level, he's a pretty good spellcaster. (Though I wish I could find the attack magic trainer, who is supposed to exist.) I poured a lot of money into Environmental magic. (Just for the enchant spell.)
Within a month, hopefully. If Apple is willing. They might not like the way we let the expansion enable itself in the base game...
Is it going to be sold as a stand-alone, or what? Will you have to have both apps on the iphone, or just the new one?
ams16: yep, it will be like a stand-alone game. But not really - for more info please check the Quest Mission Pack thread here at toucharcade: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=9500
