    list of quests

There's a list of quests for each city/village somewhere on the web. It's in both pdf and Excel file formats. I am afraid I forgot who the author was, but if it doesn't offend anyone or anyone's copyrights, I can try to make my copy available to people in this forum.

I don't think that posting the list will be a problem. I would think that the author of the list put it together to help players. Just state that you are not the original author and you don't know who is. If the author learns about it and objects you can always remove it.

    Highlight for spoiler:

The Cyclops sword is a fake! Go back to the farmers and tell them it isn't working. They will then send you to the witch. Tell her it isn't working and demand the real sword. Then go back and kill the Cyclops King with the real sword.

    1.4 update?

So I can't seem to find a set of release notes for the 1.4 update.....anyone know where to find it?

I see the feint support, and the menu "button", but I wonder what else got fixed/added....

It's on the iTunes page of the game, as usual. :)

The main feature is Feint support and important bugfixes. Other than that, nothing remarkable. :)

    thieve's guild quest

so i seem to be the next being stuck with the thieve's guild quest. the mysterious man told me to go to lake freymore and infiltrate some transport. my quest log says something about the swamp but there are just the witch queen resort, some silly goblins and a hell lot of poison puddles...
    any clues?

    The Quest - RPG Review

The Quest is a First person Role Playing Game of a Depth not before seen on a mobile platform to my knowledge.

From Character Creation with multiple races giving bonuses or penalties to skills stats and abilities to set classes and the ability to custom create your class, The Quest is not for RPG novices.

The Quest is a gift to the mobile gamers giving a RPG with the features of a full blown interactive in depth world in the palms of our hands. I would liken the game to Elder Scrolls. You can interact with so many things and people, you can choose to play a fighter, a thief, a mage, even Undead! Your choices and actions effect how the others in the world perceive you. Whether you want to walk the straight line, or play a dodgy criminal, you will find something to touch your fancy in this game. The hours upon hours of gameplay, not to mention incredible replayability by choosing different actions/different class/role the following time you play the game. I heartily recommend this game for RPG fans!

Gameplay is turnbased, so you can take your time to make smart decisions in your environment as well as strategize your battles.

The Gamepad is easy enough to manipulate and they give you an option to use a fullscreen movement system(the Dpad was adequate for me)

Most things are simply touch to interact and are self explanatory. There is an extensive help section, however people not familiar with RPG Genre may have difficulty understanding some things.

Heres my healthy criticism. Keep in mind, this is a mobile platform. Not a full blown PC with a Mac Daddy Graphics Card and physics processor.

The Graphics are basic. I assume this is to keep the game fluid and keep file size down.

Guards don’t kill mobs. You have to, there is no running away. Do go wandering into the woods if you aren’t keeping an eye out, or you could have a small army tracking you down.

Its hard at first to tell how far away some things are. You will learn with time which direction to face to interact with items/people/monsters.

Id like to scroll text with my finger rather than the button.(not a big deal)

Buttons need Labels or a tutorial or even a page in the help section with big red arrows/numbering…its very trial and error

The Quest system has a tracker and is well fleshed out for a mobile game.

So if you can overlook that this game doesn’t have the flashy high end graphics…. It has the best “Gameplay” of any RPG on the mobile market right now.

Actually, this game is very old and was not developed exclusively for the iPhone. It is a great game though :)

You might be waiting for a while. I'm not sure they plan on dropping the price any time soon.

It came out at the end of 2006, so I'm not sure that qualifies as "really" old  Certainly doesn't have anything on Kyle's Quest 2, which was old when I bought it 5 years ago for my Pocket PC and just now arrived on the iPhone :D

We are not planning on dropping the price ever. :)

It is a large game, it took one and a half years to complete (not counting the time to port it to the iphone, which was also substantial). Also because it's a pretty hardcore rpg, it wouldn't sell that well even if it was $0.99. :) No point to doing that.

I think it's rather cheap as is. Certainly very good value. :) Try the lite to know if it's for you.

So how far off is the expansion? It's supposed to come out before the end of the month, right?

If everything goes smoothly, we'll upload it to Apple tomorrow. It will take another 8-9 days to appear in the App Store (again, if everything goes smoothly and Apple doesn't nitpick :))

Well that is some good news.... The game was erased off of my itouch when some save data went bad and it needed to be synced...when I reinstalled it I lost all my save data ---40 hours of gaming gone ---really enjoyed the game so the expansion will give me a reason to give it another go!

Good for you Redshift, don't lower the price. It's an incredible value at $5.99.

Hi, I've been playing this game for a while except that I have been unable to complete some quests like the graveyard one for example. I hit the wall with a weapon (sadly, no fire spell since I'm a warrior) but nothing happens. What can I do to complete this quest?

Another task which the game doesn't seem to respond correctly is the wife who decides to stay with the thieves in the woods. She clearly says that she won't come with me and when I go back to the husband (the quest giver), I have no option to tell him that his wife won't come back.

I love the game but honestly, these two "bugs" have put a stop for me for now... help please? :)

You probably stand too close to the wall. Take a step back.

You need to talk to the bandit leader for this quest to progress. He is behind the other hatched door in a nearby house, but he won't talk to you without introduction. In order to talk to him, follow the rosa path. You will soon arrive at a place were a guy who can introduce you hangs out in daytime.

This game is wonderfully complex. Enjoy!
