I wrote the sidequests for the Quest and wrote the manual. I wrote the quests for the Official Expansion and coded a lot of it. So I can help you if you have questions and give me enough info as to where you are.

But so can Sylon and Elendil but they are busy porting HOLI to iphone so that's why I'm here right now responding to your questions. : ) Am also making a PC game so give me a little time to respond. : ) Cannot be here 24/7.

Yes, but also awesome to have players on here. :D Devs have gotta dev sometimes! Forum support by those who have played a game and can help is very important! Don't underestimate the importance of that. We tried to highlight the importance of that by including forum greats (like Silvergirl and Imran, whose names you might not and probably not, don't know) as figures in our expansions. Don't underestimate your own power.

Any chance there could be a collaboration between you guys and the people who make video game guide apps for a 'The Quest' guide book?

I don't know. But I think the Quest Hint Sites forum link that I posted somewhere above is pretty close to a guide book. I try not to use guides as it spoils my fun. When I have needed help I always got it from a forum and much, much more enjoyed the game from interacting with a forumite.

Guides are dead things. Forumites are living, responsive beings. : )

The problem is (something that I find happens to me A LOT) is that I have an iPod Touch, so most of the time I play this game I'm away from the house. There is NOTHING more frustrating then getting to a good part in a quest and then not being able to finish it for the next 2 or 3 hours because you don't have Wi-Fi access. Maybe you can make it so it's iPod Touch compatible only? :D:p

There were certain times I've played a game that I really, really needed help and could not have done it without the help of dedicated forumites. But if I could have gotten that help from a guide, which is just a dead piece of paper, it would not have thrilled me as much as having had the interaction with the forum people. So, imho, if you cannot get access to a forum via WI-Fi, just wait. : ) And think. Sometimes the answer will just come to you and that is far more satisfying than HELP. : )

Just recently heard about this app so i decided to check it out in the store...I downloaded the light and messed around a little bit to see if i liked the way it handled and i have to say it isnt bad. Got a little lost but then again i only played for about 5 minutes.

Anyway im pretty sure im getting close to the end of underworlds (since i hit the measly level cap of 10) and i need a new game to play so i figured id ask some of you quest Vet's how this game is in the long run. At the moment its between this and Orions.

I was a huge fan of Morrowind but never got the chance to play Daggerfall which looked very interesting.

    Questions:
    1. As asked above how is this game once you get farther into the story?
    2. Are Unique weapons and armor available?
    3. Is it necessary to DL the expansion right away as well or can it wait?

    Thanks for the info everyone.

    1. The game is great, the further you get into the story, the more challenging it is, the better the quality of the quests, weapons, armor, etc.
    2. Yes, there are TONS of armor and weapon along with a ton that are enchanted and such.
    3. You can wait, I downloaded it right away and a month and a half later of an 30 minutes to an hour a day, I still haven't reached the DL'ed material.

    1. The storyline is good, many different sidequests also.s
    2. Yes there are.
    3. The expansion can wait, mainly higher leveled stuff anyways.

Will let others respond as to how they have found the game once you get further into the story.

Unique weapons and armor are available.

If you want to develop your own character, you should wait to play the Expansion--as you will need to level up to the level of the Expansion to play it comfortably. There's lots to do in the base game. : )

Hey, I answered your question as though you were playing the expansion...if you are playing the base game, talk to the mayor, talk to the innkeeper, see if you can get the quest to clear the air, find the hole with ladder in the cemetery and then let me know if you're stuck. The best way to level up in the base game is to fight the skeletons in the cemetery and then find the hole in the tree in Wolfcreek to find Marisola and fight those wimpy monsters there.

There are a lot of quests to be had in the first town, just keep talking to people and knocking on doors and explore at night. ; )

It's very close to the Healer. It's a crack south of her but you need the club of Seff the Cyclops to hit it and get any result. Did you find that lonely cyclops?
