Released would be better. : ) At least then I could be useful in answering questions. : ) Right now I just sit here and wash my catly tail, tapping my claws! Since cats can't use iphones/ipods, please let me know when HOLI is released.
Finally Thank you god that HOL 1 is finally out on itunes but there is one little itty bitty problem for proplr who want the game as an expansion. To enable HOL1 on the original quest you must have the 3.0 version of it so i hope apple will get the update for that soon. Just playing standalone at the moment but it is very annoying that they cant keep the original game in sync with the expansions.
As hazarex has said unfortunately the 3.0 version of The Quest isn't out in the App Store yet. We are extremely sorry about this, but this is entirely Apple's fault. We have submitted all updates (The Quest, Lite, Ice & Fire and Lukomorye) together, however it seems they decided to review them separately and quite unfortunately The Quest is last. However it really shouldn't take long now for it to appear in the App Store, so please be patient.
Booo app store. So if I purchased HOLI now could I toy with it until quest 3.0 is out and then use HOLI with my real chars?
If you are a hardcore RPG gamer, you would have to be an idiot to pass up on the quest. Oh and even though it has been out for a while, there has NEVER been a sale, there is no need to either because there is a lite if you want to try it. The game is worth every dollar.
The main game, plus the Ice & Fire, and HOLI is less than the original quest for the PPC, so YES it is very worth it!
The main game has been well worth it for me so far. I won't be buying the expansions until I finish (or at least come close) to the main Quest... I know it's not as pretty, but a similar (and much cheaper) game that I will vouch for good gameplay/story/length is Dragonbane II I played through the original and about half of this one on my Visor years ago, have picked up and played a bit of it on my iPod Touch.
Dude, this game rocks! Each one is roughly 30~40 hours of gameplay. There are 3 out now, and 4 more on the way. That's over 200+ hours for the series. They haven't had any sales, and probably won't.(and shouldn't in my opinion, there a steal at the low price they are now). There isn't a game out for this platform that can even come close to the depth, and amount of hours this has. I say get it!!
i just played the lite, holly crud!! I thought it was a hack and slash hence why i never looked at it before, no one told me it was a RPG!!! controls are a bit iffy though. Anyone know of a bank I can rob? This also seems so big, it would be hard to start out this late. I'm on the fence, someone knock me off
I just wish we could get the expansions as in-game content, I would love to not have so many icons for the "same" game...
Umm... You install the expansions onto the regular quest game, then you can delete the expansions... Although you have to wait to be able to get HOLI into the regular quest, you need v 3.0 of the quest which they already submitted.
The expansions work as in-game content, that's why they are expansions. After you have enabled them in the main game, you can delete the expansion apps. This is why it is such a problem that Apple hasn't released the updated Quest into the App Store yet, because the 3.0 update is the first one which contains the Hero of Lukomorye expansion.
The wait is killing me. Thanks again for bringing these to the iPhone. They truly are my favorite series.
I think there should be a separate thread in the the discussion forum with an FAQ about The Quest and the expansions. I feel people are actually unsure about what they are and how they are installed. Sorry if that made no sense... me sleepy///...jhgbdgbjisvvv
Hero of Lukomorye 1 is now out The expansion / play alone Hero of Lukomorye 1 is just out. Selling for $2.99. Thought some of you might be interested. This thread is so long - might want to make a new one since it is a stand alone - but was not sure if enough people would be interested.
