Ok...follow up question. How do I get the Thieves Guild Quest? While I'm here, regarding the Nobleman's Inheritance quest...I've spoken to the weird guy near the Port Quarter Inn at night, spoke to the jewler chick, and am now at a loss. Can I get a hint please? Thanks!
You have to get your persuade level to 26. I started new game and picked a different race:mage. So now I'm at vastares and got stuck at the quest from alchemists wife, her name starts with an s. I'm supposed to find her mortar and pestle in the garden of vastares but just don't see it anywhere. Also on the three skulls for shaman quest in the dungeon of blood I can't open the door to pit of blood. When I touch the door message pops-up with options of open and disarm. When i press open a lightning bolt appears and half of my hp drains. The same thing happens when I choose disarm. What to do?
When you go to the jeweler and talk to her about the nogur there will be an option to press her further
You have to do a couple of quests for the Mysterious Man in the tower near Phrynn--one is to steal from the Thieves' Guild. I see Madame Octa helped you with the jeweler chick. : )
For the mortar and pestle--do you remember where Little Boy Blue fell asleep under? Tap, hit, tap, hit -- those things. I have to think about the Pit of Blood.
madam_octa---when you press open, that door should open. If it doesn't write Elendil at [email protected]. There are three choices--cancel, open and disarm. The lightning bolt falls down on me but it opens.
Ok thanks for the advice on mortar and pestle quest and I will try to open the door to the pitt of blood again. Luckily I found mark i recall spells in the village of matras early in the game. I hope that I'll find enchant spell soon Oh and one more thing. Do you have any advice how to defeat orcs? I'm level 5. I can't solve the orc at the pagoda quest because on the way there couple of orcs team up on me so I can't reach the pier. Are there any spells that work especially good on them?
Im doin well in all aspects of HOL so far but there is one little thing with the Dookhs. To to persuade the Dookhs quest i need to find a certain alchemist and I forgot to read where so can i get some help with this.
They are vulnerable to infection. Try ranged weapons and infection arrows. Monsters are less accurate at night. Try fighting at night.
Just to let you know that I managed to open the door to pit of blood. I also killed the cyclops and solved the shaman quest. On that quest I got two spells that I really wanted: enchant and recharge wand. I also solved the pagoda quest by paying the orc instead of finding his idol. Thanks for the advice about infection, too bad that I sold the bow which I got from the amazon queen + infection arrows. Stupid me. I have a question regarding the jeweler quest. If I bring the chest to the nobleman will my fame decrease? Because if I do that I will do harm to the quest giver.
Good. I have a problem with that quest. I'm in barren forest but there is no river. I'm looking for a river because jeweler told me that the holow tree is five steps west from bridge over river. And what level I'm recomended to be before I start playing first expansion?
Use your map. It's kinda to the southern end of the barren forest, if I remember correctly. You want to be around level 13-14 before you start ice and fire.
Why the Quest doesn't have achievements yet? Since the games has openfeint support. I think they should make some achievements on next updates. To give more value for the game.
