We thought that the chat feature of OpenFeint would nicely supplement the Quest, that's why we added support for it. The Quest was not built for achievements and to tell the truth, I personally don't find any kind of 'achievements', 'high scores' and the like in any game interesting at all, so I didn't think about them that much. Nevertheless, I'm contemplating adding some, but no promises.
I'm stuck again. This game is HARD. I have problem with exorcise the demon quest. I talked with sister elfwin and I have an option to kill her. So I went to the Holy Man but I can't get anything from him. He gave me the eyes quest but I can't get the potion for exorcism. Do I need to have specific skill or what?
Phrynn is located east of vasteras, on the other side of the great wall. The monestary is south, follow the path and keep to the west.
You talked to Brother Resmus, Yann and Sister Elfwin? When you talked to Sister Elfwin did you get a chance to talk to the demon inhabiting her? Only if you talk to him and resist him will you get anything out of the Holy Man.
i been playin this game for a while now..but i still don't get some of the basics. What does accuracy do? Are gems useful, or just for selling? What does dexterity do?
I talked to the demon and I have options of "I refuse but I'll let you know if I change my mind." and " I accept your offer and what I'm supposed to do?" I have kill the demon and exorcise the demon quests. I have aletter from yann and resmus told me to go and bring him demon's ring as a proof that I killed him. After that he will give me something for yann
Without asking here for help, how would I know about the mysterious man quest in order to get the thieves guild to notice me? It seems the main quest would be a little easier to do.
I just bought this game and am having trouble with creating a character that doesn't die when in the wilderness. I always seem to get ganged up on and my weapons have little effect on the enemies. Also I can not seem to find the weapon shop in the second city. Help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
Almost el finito Hey Cat thanks for all your help in HOL it is a fantastic game but i have finished all of the persuade quest and then when i talk to Tzar it says about a spy so who is it? If you could tell me that would be great.
Try with mage. I use one and it was fairly easy to get to vastares. Start by leveling up around the city. When you notice that the enemies are around( you will star to walk only one step in a turn) stop and look around to try to see an enemy. Then try to find the best position to attack it. Don't move forwards but rather lure it to the area you came from. If you are a mage go to the magic shop every day to find different spell books. Collect plants in the gaden of matras to mix some poions if you have alchemy skill. Even if you don't have alchemy you can sell them. This worked for me and I'm now level 8 mage. To find the blacksmith in vastares go opposite from the entrance to the city center. Then continue straight till you come to the cross-road. Turn right and go straight. There should be a tailor there. You can find armor and encantable accessoires there. When you exit the tailor shop turn left and go straight. Then at the astrologists shop go over the bridge and turn left and left again and there should be the blacksmith. You should check your map for the blaksmith icon. Hope I helped
I agree with madam. I'm a Seiry battlemage, and I made it all the way to level 21 so far! Magic is more useful than melee in the beginning!
There is a lot of talk in Phryn about the mysterious man and when you get there you are more likely than not to get to his tower. When you start talking to him you eventually get all the quests you need that flesh out the main story. However, I tend to agree with you. And I found doing all his quests a little hard but it does get you to really hate him! Which is the idea.
madam_octa, I know you haven't been playing the Quest very long and I am really impressed with how quickly you've mastered things. Kudos! [I'm very impressed with everyone here generally. ]
