For most of them it doesn't matter in what order you do them but some lead to other quests and have to be solved before the other quests. I just started in Matras and did the quests in that area. If there was one i couldn't get I marked the area and then went back. I never thought about the significance of the names. You can pick up a Quest manual by the way at Redshift's website. www.redshift.hu
Dammit! I'm already in mithria and I level 10. I was level 5 when I had that conversation. So there's no way that I'll return that save even if I have it. Well that's another reason to replay the game. I have only two portals in the cave of the holy man. Where are the others? Oh and how to get out of mithria prison? I had to get inside to find the guy with the amulet.
Level 10 isn't really that far, Ive played through a dozen times. Once you know what to do it goes by really fast. Then, also, you could change the way you do things you didn't like the prevous times. And in the holy mans cave, just go back to talk to him.
There are 2 portals in Cave of the Holy Man--if you've been to both you have nothing more to do there -- there are a total of 3 eyes --2 near one portal and one near another. The Other Dimension has a series of teleporters and you have to look at your map to see if you might be missing an area. If you walk around awhile in Mithria prison you should be able to get out---there is a door whose locked state is 40 that would if your skill is high enough let you can find a switch that will get you to a teleporter to the outside.
I'm seriously afraid that something is wrong with my game. I went to another dimension and killed two eyes and in another room of another dimension one more. However when I enter the room on the right of the spell book stand in the middle of the room I can hear cries like the one from the eyes. Also my movents slows down like a monster is near. When I go to the Holy Man and talk about the lurking evil he tells me to kill the parent and then talk to him. Is this quest important for the main story? Will I be able to finish the game if I don't do it? I also have a question about the expansions. Do I have to install them in a specifi order, like Ice & Fire then HOL?
The holy mans cave is really just a side quest. You'll be just fine if you don't solve it you can install the expansions however you like, BUT, HOL1 is designed for much higher level characters. You really should play ice and fire first.
I only have enough money on my iTunes account for one of the expansions and I was wondering which one I should get.
Thanks, but I have yet to see monsters as. I cast dispel magic and the shamen still get me. I've decided to do the three skull quest. I need the one that someone trades with in Matras...can I get a hint as to who I should speak to? Also, when I am done i forget where to go with the three skulls. Thanks!!
If you have the base game, get islands of ice and fire. HOL1 is designed for higher level characters. You will only get butt kicked. The monsters are very tough, even after you you level up with the first expansion Monsters and loot re-spawn after 7 days (in-game). And dispel only cures you of magic effects. You need stuff to resist magic. (potions, wands, scrolls, or your own abilities) when trying to find all 3 skulls, look very carefully in the port quarters of matras(it's kind-of an out-of-the-way door, on the southern end). Oyo the shaman needs them, he's in a hole in the ground in the forest of blood! Hope this helps!!
Unless a hero plays the standalone version of HOLI, that hero will have a VERY painful if not impossible time to go straight from the Quest base game to HOLI. HOLI, not the standalone version, but the version where you can use your old save file, was designed for players who had gone through Fire and Ice. There is a separate thread here for Fire and Ice for you to look through if you have questions but you can ask your question in any of the Quest threads and someone should answer.
What's the name of the spell that blood shamans use to protect themselves? When they cast it 4 black spots apears in front of them. It looks really useful.
On your character screen, press the scroll icon, it'll give you a detailed description of your magical abilities. It will say how long it lasts. I just keep count of the turns.
You can use the "effects" screen (on the ? icon, the top has three choice: main, skills, effects). This will show either constant effects (things like race bonuses or enchantments on gear), or dynamic ones. The dynamic ones include spells and potions you use on yourself, as well as things like poison done to you by enemies.
