You have to hit the "dynamic" setting; then it will show the remaining duration. You're right that on "all" it doesn't show the duration even for dynamic effects (I forgot that because I never use the "all" setting).
When the Demon asks you this question: Fool... You can recite that chant twenty times and it won't have any effect on me. I'm Abaddon, a real demon from the other plane! And I like this body. I'm staying right here, whatever you do. I should do something to punish you for wanting to get rid of me, but you make me laugh. I could help you do great things. Are you interested? Then, if you want to exorcise the demon you should answer: My will is strong, demon! I'm interested only in getting rid of you! Of course, in real life, most of our wills are not strong at all.
Yea...the thing is I already answered the other way. So my only options are to kill her, or just forget this quest?
Unfortunately yes--the quests were meant to give you some options like in the real world where you have to make choices. It also adds to replay value of course. So you can have a different experience in a world you've gotten used to. If you cure her you get a demon ring that is worth 600 gold and has evil alignment and 20+sp and a few other minor things (but the ring is unsellable so virtually useless if you're good, stash it in a barrel and kiss it goodbye). So walking away if you're good or killing her if you're evil will not have a great impact. Only thing is if you don't kill here, the quest remains unfailed. So if you like a clean quest log, knock her off and do your time.
Smae problem, Ghost iPod Touch! I somehow have the exact same problem as aendaman had before. The same blank talk option shows up, and when I select it, that part about the abbot going off with shusanna shows up (and i've killed her already, as a flesh eater). I actually haven't even found the beast's lair yet (which is weird, because I've searched pretty much all of the south, with no grey spots, and not tunnels I can see either) but I'm still concerned about that part. I'm playing on the iPod Touch 2G, software 3.0, with The Quest 3.0 and Ice and Fire at 2.3. I've also already installed the HoL expansion, if that means anything to you guys.
Wow I definitely need this spell. What lockpick level s required to open door to the portal in the mithria prison? And in Phyrn where is the murdered enchantress house? I'm supposed to talk to her neighbour but can't find her house
Update! I managed to finish the expansion, despite that weird blank talk option, so I wonder if anyone's found out why this "haunted" version pops up every now and then?
I don't know the answer to that. It seems to be a truly haunted version. Perhaps the Ghost of Shusanna is taking her revenge. I don't think she was happy being turned into a flesheater--I'm sure she would rather have gone off with her love.
I'm in Mithria and need to join the Mage council. I defeated the thing in the basement after getting the potion, but every other door is closed. How do I join the council so I can get into the governors chambers?
Wasn't the Mysterious Man's quest: Go to the Mage Council's tower in Mithria, and kill the leader. Then go back to the Mysterious Man in Phryn. You did that right--you killed him? Did you go back to the Mysterious Man for new quests? Did you then talk to the suspicious man in the Port of Mithria? I may have a memory lapse but I think it's the suspicous man who gets you closer to where you want to go. I don't think there's anything more in the Mage Council Tower for you.
The Mysterious Man told me to enter the governor's castle in Mitria and find out his condition. The suspicious man got me into the castle and when I went to go into the governors room I was told that only members of the mages council may enter.
