The wars started a while ago... and that's an old PS3 too, the Xbox 360 Slim may still have the same errors as the 360 but without the red lights you won't know what it is :p just watch ;)

Gotta consider myself extremely fortunate that I've only gotten one ring (overheating, I think?) and haven't had any problems so far. Might pick up the slim this Christmas though, just in case. I like installing games onto my harddrive incase someone accidentally bumps into it and scratches the disc, so the 250 GBs will serve me well.

A quick side question, how many people here are achievement whores? Unless the game's really fun, I'll usually just play through the story and be done with it (RDR got boring pretty quick after the story mode, at least to me). I've played maybe 7 games or so so far, and only have 1460 gamerscore.

Actually, the hardware is configured differently. The reason I don't bash PS3 is because I don't know it hardware, you should do the same.

I like collecting trophies, but only because they give me a reason to get the most out of a game. If I'm not enjoying the game I won't force myself to play it just for the sake of showing off. I don't boost either, I don't really go for multiplayer trophies at all, when I'm online I just want to chill out and play.

Well, the biggest reason to pick up the slim this year is that it's directly compatible to Kinect. Kinect comes out in the fall if I'm not mistaken, so it's worth getting a new console just for that. The better design, built in wifi, and bigger hard drive doesn't hurt either.
I don't play for achievements at all, but I like to experience as much of the game as possible. I don't rush through games; I savor them, and get my money's worth. And if achievements come along the way, then that's a bonus.

Don't you dare. What are you gonna play? Dance Central? Imagine Fashion Party? Your Shape: Fitness Evolved? The game lineup is AMAZING! ;)

'Scuse me! I will be getting me a tiger, and I will name him Skittles. And I'll giggle like the adorable little 7 year old Asian girl I am.

Hey, that's the console that caters directly to the hardcore, right?

    Question:

Is RDR any good? Would you compare it more to Oblivion or Fallout 3 (Depth/Gameplay wise)?

I'd compare it to GTAIV a lot more since it isn't really an RPG...

It is the greatest console game I have ever played, and I have put in 40 hours and I'm still not bored. SO much to do, so much to see-it's a great experience

While they are RPGs, they are completely different types of RPGs. ME2 focuses more on character development and storyline, while F3 focuses on complete non-linear player freedom and open-ness. It really depends on what sort of RPG you're into.

Doesn't FO3 have a lot of character development as well?

Not in the sense that ME2 does. FO3's character development is more gameplay orientated, you get complete freedom in what skills you have, perks, appearance etc. ME2 does have some of that too but to a lesser extent. Character development in ME2 is more storywise, learning about your companions and such.
