Hey guys! My name is Jeremy Fuller, and I'm the developer behind War of Words. I know some of you here on the forums are pretty big fans of the game, so I wanted to let you all know that I've just announced the next game in the series: War of Words Apocalypse. I'm taking what I started in War of Words, and redesigning it from the ground up to be easier to learn, more balanced, and a lot more strategic. One of the ways I'm achieving that is through player levels. Everyone starts out at level 1, and as you play, you earn experience points. When you reach a new level, you unlock a new Action Tile and one or more new boards. I'm also adding 6 new Action Tiles to the game: Poison, Medic, Blaster, Black Hole, Portal, and Nuclear Bomb. (Yes, Portal, which really makes things mind-bendingly interesting!) From there, you can get Expansion Packs which increase the level cap and add even more new Action Tiles and boards. (The first expansion will be called The Battle of the Elements, featuring Water, Rain, Fire, and Lightning tiles.) Anyway, since I know I have a few fans here, I wanted to offer 3 beta slots to people on the TouchArcade forums. The beta test launched today and will run for about 6 weeks.
