Actually, looking at the "Upcoming Games", there aren't as many titles for me as I thought. I want to get Phoenix Wright, but I've actually never played the original games (gasp! I know!) so I'll try it before I buy it. (I believe it's currently set up that way.) Mansion Run also looks cute, though that likely won't be an instabuy. And then next week, there's the new Kingdom Rush, plus I'm looking forward to seeing more information about the KOTOR release. .. basically almost all the current "big" titles, will have to pace myself for my wallet and device's sake. 6.5 hours over here, hooray! I'm so glad to see a game that has so many hours of gameplay - and more with expansions - I spend a lot of my free time with my iPad, so I can blaze through new content faster than I want the game to end. (Bellyfish, Le Vamp, Robot Unicorn Attack 2..)
Hey since our warrior models are full 3D, is there a way to see them up close, rotate the models with their loot equipped, etc. -- Any confirmation on whether we're passive during an enemy turn or if we can set our warriors to guard, set traps, etc.? -- How are visuals and performance on iPhone 4?
Omg I forgot about the new Kingdom Rush coming next week yippie ! I'm the other person on the planet that never played Phoenix Wright lol . I have it on my device , just never played it .
Really looking foward to this, thanks for all the updates Pitta et al who manage to keep the excitement levels so high for this game.
Agreed! It's great to have so much information before even going into the game, too. As for the IAP characters, I might grab the archer mage (because I like mages and archers) at a later date, but not immediately. Thank goodness, hanging out with a friend this evening so I'm not just focused on counting down until 11... I'll be hanging out and counting down.
Is there any kind of dual wielding Ranger-esque class that could added as IAP? --- How are visuals and performance on iPhone 4?
You keep asking about 4G performance; Warhammer Quest has been confirmed to work on 3GS so logic follows that 4G performance would be serviceable if not good since it supports even inferior devices.
I'm just asking because I've bought games that said they worked on iPhone 4 but then the visuals took such a hit compared to the screenshots. Like Real Boxing. So basically how close does the game look on 4 compared to the AppStore screenshots?
Anyone played this on the ipad2? If the visual or the performance is only so-so, i might have to pass on this, but this game sure looks and sounds good.
Ohh, okay. I think my brain just inserted the "er" without actually reading the entire title. Probably the same deal re: buying it at some point/considering it - I realllly like mages. (A lot.) (A lot a lot.)
Pardon me if this has already been addressed... but the game's description claims it is compatible with iPod Touch 3rd gen, yet it requires iOS 6 (which is not compatible with iPod Touch 3rd gen). Will I be able to play this on my stone-aged iPod or what?
You will need iOS 6+; in part I think iOS 6+ material is required for developers to support 5G widescreen as they have here.
So has anybody played with this Arch Mage fellar? He sounds interesting as, at least by his description, he needs to keep his ying and yang all balanced. Too much healing without destroying or visa versa makes him an unhappy puppy . I also can't wait to play as the Troll Slayer. From what I've read he's pure balls to the wall crazy. Doing big damage but forced to take crazy risks without the ability to ever retreat. Just the guy to play in hardcore mode (if you want a quick game).
Quest's default Elf is a Wood Elf; mobile and a great archer. Decent in melee too, but can't really take a punch; the basic Elf usage is to land a hit, exactly where you need it, exactly when you need it (To counter opposing missile mobs, for example). One of the board game expansion heroes was a Wardancer, who is even more fragile, but even better in melee and with ridiculous mobility. The Dwarf is something like an Ironbreaker; slow, steady, determined, bloody hard to kill. Not flashy or exciting, but they can take a ridiculous amount of damage due to their natural toughness and high wounds, and they're hard to hit due to a good weapon skill. If you need a flank held (And you will), the Dwarf is the character to do it. The starting wizard is not very powerful. They get three initial spells (An attack, a defence, and a utility spell) and are your only consistent source of healing (If they're lucky enough to get the spell...). In the board game, you rolled each turn to see how strong the winds of magic were (And thus how powerful your spellcasting was); if you rolled a 1, not only did your wizard not have any power this turn, you also got a random encounter. This was not fun. There are no nice random encounters in Warhammer Quest. Dammit, why is it not midnight yet.
