Well, as the IAP initially viewed as optional in pretty much every endless runner actually is entirely optional, I guess you've proven my point. "Boo, I have to do four runs before I can afford this gun!" isn't at all the same thing as including "mandatory IAP". I agree that there are certainly games that started off with unreasonable prices that pretty blatantly pushed the IAP (Endless Road, for example), but in this case we're talking about games that included IAP that was widely accepted as optional. What I've stated about the IAP in this game is the way it is; that won't change no matter how many people you want to dismiss until somebody tells you what you're apparently hanging out to hear namely, that the IAP is mandatory. I also have a strong suspicion that while you're willing to ignore all the people telling the IAP isn't required, you'll quite happily latch on to the first person who tells you that it is and use that as "proof". Sitting quietly and observing until you're sure about the nature of the IAP is a perfectly acceptable stance, certainly; continuing to bash the IAP out of knee-jerk ignorance and dismiss all of the feedback given about it (as some have) is just being a dick, basically.
I reported the first IAP posts yesterday (which lead to the slew of deleted ones), and reported ipad2user's post today because I knew it was going to lead to the same arguments all over again. I was going to point out to you exactly why the posts were being deleted when you posted yesterday, concerned about all the disappearances, but I couldn't be bothered.
I have no idea why you feel like arguing with my, but no I don't agree with your opinion. I'm not gonna get sucked into your off topic nonsense and make lists, but most endless games are IAP driven to the point where by some point, grinding becomes to tedious relative to the rate of acquisition of novelty. I'm actually simply saying this: I'm going to continue following this thread for impressions looking for people to mention that they didn't feel compelled to use the consumable IAP, that it only serves to remove challenge or speed through enjoyable gameplay, etc. because I want to get it. Opinions are just that, and yours has less and less meaning to me by the minute. Please stop now. It's silly.
Ummm that wasn't my logic. It's just a fact that anyone who has played the game will tell you. You do not need IAPs. However there is a store button and you can buy stuff to there get you ahead if you so wish. Cue circular argument. If you want more people to perk up about a pay wall or something then fair enough matey. Honestly though the water is fine. Just jump in EDIT: just saw your last post. All good. Happy waiting
It's not a circular argument. Here's the thing. If that's what other will say, good, let them say it. I need more impression. I don't believe implementation if consumable IAPs can be reliably understood by the impressions and opinions of one or a few people. Obviously you disagree. You think one person can simply form their impression and that it will be what everyone else is certain to experience. Since a discussion of what number of impressions a person should be allowed to require would be totally off topic, please stop arguing with me. For christ sake.
Forget lists, you couldn't even name a single game in support of your statement. In the future, don't make claims that you know you're incapable of backing up; it'll save everybody a great deal of time. Thanks. I'm not particularly interested in your opinion of me; I (and many others, including people who have played through the entire game) have clearly stated what the nature of the IAP in this game is, but if you want to continue to stomp your feet and ignore that until the hundredth person has told you the same thing, I suppose nobody can stop you. Doing so won't change the reality of the situation, however.
Pocket Tactics Review Pocket Tactics Review: Warhammer Quest 4/5 = very good game. Especially if you liked the original. I've only played a little, but it's satisfying and feels as if there is a nice dip in and out and continue progressing to the game feel. As PT says, the combat is perhaps not as deep as it could be, but still interesting.
Dear lord what's happened to this thread? is anyone enjoying the game? Ok have the day off and I'm delving in deeply Oh and unless they've changed the IAP structure from beta, there shouldn't be any need to buy gold. Several of them have finished the game already. You can check it out in the 'upcoming' thread, there was a wealth of impressions there too. I guess the expansion is amazingly brilliant and you can play forever in hardcore
Can anyone answer whether we have defensive options during an enemy turn? So far I got a "No", an "I think", and someone who said that if you have action points left, you can defend. No clear answer yet I'm loving the game but that aspect of combat is getting frustrating. Is there really no way to protect yourself against the enemy? Only can stand there and get hit? I understand that it may be true to the board game, but in a video game, it seems unfair
Hardcore??? I'm sorry if this has already been answered but is there any perks to runing hardcore? Like better loot? I'm sure you get better gold and XP but was curious if epic items drop rate is greatly increased or not. Thanks
I don't think that at all. This isn't about impressions. An impression would be something subjective. Do I like the top down perspective. Do I not like the random missing etc. What I and many others have said about IAPs is that you simply do not require them to play a big chunk of this game. In no way do I think that other's opinions about the game are invalid. I asked a couple pages back to chill on the IAP stuff only because it wasn't going anywhere. I said both sides of the arguments were valid. I was actually trying to get the thread back on topic. Read back over it. You want to wait for more opinions. Coolio. Pull it back bit tho. I really am not the enemy here. Was just trying to get you to maybe take a leap and enjoy the game. That's not such a bad thing IMO.
I don't see any way , but the enemies miss you at times and my characters have counter attacked at times.
This attidude is exactly why we are all going to drown into freemium bullshit like Dungeon Hunter 4 or Real Racing 3 in the future, thanks for that. You get a full package here, minimum 15h of playtime for and this i'm not counting all the extra hours you can sink into that game. The iaps are not necessary at all but seems worth the price (an extra campaign that doubles the playtime for example)and i'm sure the extra chars are a welcome bonus for the old fans of the board game. The game seems very polished (i'm going to download it now for sure)and full featured. It makes me speechless how some of you call yourself"gamer"(you aren't a gamer in my opinion)but are not able to see the effort and time the developer put in and therefore a game like this is definitely worth the price of a f***n box of cigarettes.Shame.
Still working this out. Obviously better armor increases chances of blocking but not sure about counters. As the bad review pointed out there isn't much info on some of the stuff. Just old school trial and error. If you find out let us know
Positioning, potions, spells, skills, armour, items. If you're looking for overwatch or interrupts, though, those you won't find here. ^_^
Yes loving it. Spent my Aussie 20 bucks to get the three warriors and expansion pack. A bargain IMHO. Thoroughly enjoying it. Exceeded my expectations given I had played both H1 and H2 to death. This thread has gone bonkers. Should be more about in game assistance for those who are new to the genre maybe and general enjoyment. It's a computer game people enjoy it. I spent $120 on a special edition Halo pack back in the day and got as much fun as I'm having with this.
