It's crispier on IPad 4 for sure (I wouldn't call iPad 3 blocky tough by any means). Do you have real time shadows casted by your chars? (I'm not saying them reflecting the light). Because I just noticed (weren't there in beta) enemies casts dynamic shadows, but my chars do not (just a dark blob...but I can't see the swords, while I see enemies lances shadows).
+1000 BUT: you can mark the texts but holding and selceting all and then have the idevice read them to you Was quite surprised that it's possible
Does Rodeo games do a good job with fixing crashes in updates? do you think they will release bug fixes in future updates? I really want to play this game without crashes
I sugget you get your head checked if you can't reasonably admit the text is ridiculously small on the phone
I'm so gob smacked by this inventory business I've been unable to play past the tutorial. It's just unbelievable this didn't come up at all during testing.
Awesome game but... The rotate to get to the inventory screen is the worst idea ever. I mean how hard would it of been for them to add on menu icon to get to your inventor instead of having to constantly turn the device back and forth. Rodeo, please, please, please, fix this. Other than that issue the game is outstanding, their best game to date.
Maybe When Hunters: E1 launched, it was a horrible, nigh unplayable bug fest. They released 11 updates in a bit over a year for the game, greatly improving things only leaving a few bugs in place of the sort that most of their players probably never realized was even happening. Hunters 2 was released in a much, much, much better state and it only received a single update to quash some stability bugs. Now, did H2 only get one update because it was just that perfect after only one update? Or, as I suspect, did they pretty much abandon it immediately because Games Workshop signed them shortly after H2's release to develop the game we're discussing right now? My fingers are crossed that this game's support is going to be more like H:E1 than H2.
Not only is it ridiculously small, what's more puzzling is how much of the screen real estate is ignored. Most of the the time the text is in a "sign post" in the center of the screen that is the only thing you're looking at, yet only occupies maybe 20% of the screen's area.
How much free space needed to start installing Warhammer Quest? I am pondering deleting Frozen Synapse to free up a bit more space, but wonder if it will be sufficient...
I had about 6GB free when I installed it. I would guess you'd need 1.5GB or so for a device install. If you use iTunes, you'll just need the 787MB.
About real time shadows, I never noticed until you mentioned it but its just like you said, the enemy's have real defined shadows where you can see there weapons and heads etc, but the player characters just have basic roundish shadows? Seems wierd now you mention it.
Downloading... Warhammer Quest finally started downloading after I cleared 1.7GB of space. Are the IAPs just unlocks or more downloads?
As an iPod 4 guy myself for the longest time, I feel your pain, Mysticpete. Both the iPod 4 and iPad 1 suffered from the same stupid issue which was that 256M of RAM doesn't cut it with HD/retina graphics. These two iDevices get the most issues, IMHO, since the newer devices have sufficient RAM and the older devices didn't have to deal with the new requirements of the higher resolution.
