I experienced a new glitch. I had my wizard warp my dwarf with that void skill to heal him, he was pinned at the time. When he came back he remained pinned even tho I had killed every enemy. I had to keep ending turns til more enemies spawned and then he unpinned himself.
So after 15+ hours I couldn't help myself and just had to get all the extra content. I had been planning on starting the expansion with the new characters but have instead started integrating the new characters with my level 6 adventurers. This game has taken over my life.
Mine got an active. Mighty Blow. You forgo attacking more than once that turn, but the damage from your strength bonus is multiplied by the number of lost attacks (IE : If you have 3 attacks/round, and your strength bonus is 7, you deal +14 damage)
I have found two accessories so far that help mitigate that problem, they each give my wizard "+1 power" so now every time the dice rolls for Winds of Power I have a +2 bonus. It helps a lot and gives you a better chance at casting something like Shadow Bolt more often without tapping into your reserve. I know these are random drops and there isn't much you can do about it, but keep an eye out for that bonus on equipment!
Mostly depends on equipment. Mine has the following abilities at level 5 : Mighty Blow Goldmaster Endure (?) (Not unlocked yet) Edit.: I really wish there was a wiki available somewhere in order to write down the existing skills.
I actually love Might Blow And if you buff it with the Spell from the wizard that gives you more attacks thats a huge huge attack.
My grey wizard is pretty good, I have a rare dagger that gives 1 extra attack and with all my items I'm generally getting 5-10 winds a round. Although I mainly only use him to melee and heal I may try the Archmage.
Ouch I didn't know the skills were random! Played for countless hours so I don't like to stop to come here. I really do think you should be able to pick your own...definitely more rpg like. My wizard has healing spells, shadow daggers and shadow bolt all not too great, translocation and the only decent one has a 50% chance to stun all near him. Even my wayfarers abilities are healing like herbalism and hypnosis. Hypnosis is good but herbalism damages instead of heals sometimes. I am a little less excited to play now knowing its pot luck, I like 1 saved game only I don't like multiple plays...especially since this is endless anyway.
I love herbalism AND hipnosis. Lucky you got them cause ppl don't like the elf very much, but i DO mainly because of those two spells. I'm on the same page as you i won't bother doing another runthrough but i don't care for the skills being random. Actually i probably loved the ones i got for the main warriors and that's why i don't care (maybe). Waiting for a sale on the characters and expansions so i would love to do another runthrough with the new ones.
Precisely what my point was a couple pages back! Same sentiments here. You could also just try retiring your wizard, getting a new one and leveling him up and hopefully he gets more useful spells. At least you dont need to start the whole game from scratch.
Does not matter. You can play them both at the same time without affecting the other campaign. I recommend getting it now as its a nice way to break up fighting orcs and critter dungeons all the time.
it adds variety. Not that it's mandatory. it's really up to you. I completed the campaing first and now i'm thinking about buying it.
It seems that the Idol quest is the end of the first campaign. It took a little over 7 hours to beat it, with decent farming of xp and gear. How does the second campaign compare?
Done playing for now. I've got a never ending crash loop at what I believe based on prior crashes to be the end of the dungeon in quest Expendable and Proud in Skaven DLC. Difference is, with prior crashes it would show the dialogue, then show the enemies, then have another enemy pop up with nothing there. This time I walk into the room and it crashes. Unfortunate, but hopefully it gets fixed quick. Truly awesome game otherwise!
I also often have that crash where after I get an encounter the game has another blank encounter pop up. Actually just stopped my current game due to this. It's happened more than 10 times so far; seems pretty prevalent.
It's a shame you guys didn't get a good Spell with the grey wizard. I got Okkam's Mindrazors that's a BEAST. "Fire three mindrazors at the enemy. Mindrazors cannot miss and causes a large amount of damage, proportional to the Wizards's battle level. It's 9 damage / hit totaling 27 damage. It's a nice finishing move.
