I'm going to wait until I finish all of the main quests and discover everywhere and finish pottering about on the side quests and then buy the DLC, it's something to look forward to at least then. Just got my grey wizard to 5 and yet another healing spell, that makes 3 healing spells for me now. So do all Marauders get Berserk or is that just my poor luck?
I have three games going (1 Adventurer, 2 Hardcore), and the Marauder has always started with Berserk for me. I'm pretty sure that how it was in the board game, although I think he was called a Barbarian. With a little planning, I can place him one square away from my other characters most of the time.
I don't mind his hitting his teammates as much as I dislike that he loses his turn. At higher levels the loss of 3+ attacks is much more significant than the possibility or an extra one.
I have two hats, one with +1 power which I tend not to use in favour of a green level hat which has an inbuilt power store of 4-6 magic, once per dungeon. I find having the extra for the end if the dungeons very useful (or earlier if there are a ton of critters)
Some cool quest item rewards i found, you can keep visiting towns around and checking until u see it: chalice of battle for wizard, usable once per dungeon, +3 strength, +1 melee and range attack, shadow staff 7-10 power store once per dungeon robes of gray college +1 power every turn Dwarf - forge masters hammer 6-8 damage, critical chance +1 attacks
Funny enough I think I have the exact same 2 hats. I'm currently using the +1 power one but I can't make myself sell the green level one just in case...
Completely missed that the game had achievements. Only got 1 of the 31 so far but poised to soon get a bunch.
I didn't notice for a while either, there isn't any way of viewing them from in game as far as I can tell.
Same here. I figured the spells you get were set in stone until I saw people posting their spells in this thread. I'm really not sure why they would do that. That makes it very unappealing to do another run through. As it's very possible you'll just end up with crappy spells again. This makes the Grey Wizard(and to some extent the Archmage and Warrior Priest)not as fun to play. Grinding for hours and paying 4000 gold only to get another healing spell leaves a very bad taste in your mouth. I just don't understand how Rodeo could do so many things right and then mess this up.
Personally I like the random spell element, it just adds a bit more to the random dice roll nature of the game. Only error type thing I've came across so far is this below. It reads , The mercenary looks more closely and spots <lowest initiative member> I think maybe that should have been one of my characters names And no one of my characters is not called <lowest initiative member> Other than that I'm still loving the game, even if I am slowly crawling through the dungeons on hardcore as I don't want to lose a guy. Edit: forgot to add the pic so it's in the post below.
I know the strategy of moving each individually and all but there are instances where I'd like to move everyone at the same time.
Ok I found a video that sold me on this game but what I want to know is how is the replay ability and what happens when you beat the game is there some new game plus mode? Long story short once it's beat what will make me keep playing? After I beat the story of hunters 2 I had no drive to keep going. That's why I'm on the fence with this.
