Uhm, yeah. Norse, Teutonian, we're true metal. We're more metal than iron ore, in fact. And Metal was born in Germany, as everybody knows. But Midian, I thought you were somewhere from direction Norway or Sweden?
Ha ha yes I do actually have some +1 glasses I use for fly tying. But this 'old' fart doesn't need them. I am myopic a bit though. I just hope it's readable without squinting. Of course I don't know if he was using an iPhone 4 , but my touch has a touch bigger screen . Ha
Are you totally passive during the enemy's turn? Or can you have your warriors to guard or protect himself, make your mage lay down traps, set your archers to overwatch, etc.
Does the game cloud save so I can play a synced game across devices? Answer doesn't affect purchase but seems worthwhile to ask since I can't get the game at the moment
Oops, was it? Never mind, my skimming skills weren't up to snuff. I was paying more attention to the explanations regarding the DLC. Really, really excited for this one. Lots of good games coming today (& next week!) but this one has me especially excited. All of the $ I didn't spend the last few weeks will go here! Though probably not everything at once. Ahhh I really want it this thread is such a teease /whine
Dwarf (Tough melee combatant), Wizard (Spellcaster, healer / artillery / utility depending on what spells he gets, fragile), Marauder (Area-of-effect melee? I never really liked playing this guy, bring on the Pit Fighter), Elf (Archer, agile). They're a good, solid party. For the expansions, as they're like the original game; Troll Slayer is a brutal single-target melee fighter (He's a Dwarf who has pledged to die fighting, but because he's a Dwarf he always fights to win), who is ALL about the offense. Warrior Priest (Of Sigmar) is a melee combatant / healer, who wields various holy magics; he's probably closer to a Paladin in other systems, but Warhammer is a brutal setting and Sigmar's holy symbol is the hammer... I never had the High Elf, but given they're basically the ones who taught everyone magic in the setting, I'm expecting a powerful battle spellcaster. Passive, I think there were a few abilities that happened in the opposite turn, but not many. Warriors are quite sticky though, so Dwarven body blocking is a good starting tactic.
Thank you! Here's some info about the Warhammer board game editions of the starting crew, because I'm bored and at work. Dwarf Picture of Dwarf Engineer: "Dwarfs in the Warhammer setting are proud warriors highly driven by honor and the making of oaths... dwarves have a strong attraction to gold... Dwarf's true favourite metal is Gromril, a fictional metal which is said to be harder than diamond. The Dwarfs take this metal much more seriously than Gold and only Royalty, Generals and the Legendary Ironbreakers can afford to have it as their armour.... A Dwarf is said to never forget a grudge... The dwarfs are by far Warhammer's most technologically advanced race, and are regarded as consummate engineers... Due to the slow movement of the dwarf army the most common advice given to gamers wishing to play as this race, is to take a defensive stance. This can be done in a variety of ways, the most often advocated being aligning the units along the edge of the gaming area or utilising other aspects of the gaming area such as scenery to protect the units' flank from attack. Dwarf armies will frequently utilise their immense capacity for heavy firepower to destroy their opponents from afar." From : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwarf_(Warhammer) Wizard Picture of Empire Wizard: "Wizards are strange figures who wield awesome magical powers and are privy to secrets, usually beyond the ken of ordinary folk. Trained at the Colleges of Magic for many years, arcane power courses through their veins and lurks behind their eyes like the thunder before a storm." From: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?prodId=prod20018&_requestid=1756713 Marauder Picture of Chaos Marauders: "These brutal Norse warriors are the Marauders – a fanatical throng whose only interest is destruction. Bred for war, dedicated to the gods, endlessly violent... Marauders are granted the Gift of Change in its purest form. As their bloodlust rises in anticipation of the violence of battle or pillaging, the energy of Chaos itself courses through the Marauder, bringing about dramatic physical changes. Limbs stretch into obscene forms, skin changes to iron or scale or stone, features multiply or disappear. The look of a Marauder mutated and ready to attack is terrifying to behold. Each mutation brings with it an additional, unique gift that aides the Marauder in battle. These gifts help to direct and enhance the destructive force of the Marauder and, in turn, help to earn greater favor (and more horrible gifts) from the Changer of Ways." From http://www.warhammeronline.com/Marauder Elf Picture of High Elf Silver Helms: "The elves are nearly immortal, expected to live for about 2500 years, and their Mages are among the best in the world. They have split into three factions: The High Elves (Asur) ...the Wood Elves (Asrai) live in the Loren Forest, ...and the Dark Elves (Druchii)... The latter are the sworn enemies of the Asur. In the Warhammer Fantasy Battle tabletop wargame, Elf armies are generally small and although lightly armoured their soldiers are generally braver, quicker and more skilled than those of other armies."
