I know of two games that are like the card game in FFVIII if that's what your thinking of? one's called arena 9. its one of those games where you need to pay money to get decent cards at all. There is another one that came out a while ago now. Haven't played it but it uses the same game design
I believe he is talking about Manga Triad or Palbo. I prefer Manga Triad as it has the most cards and it is fun to play by yourself.
No one has mentioned Heroes Blade yet? There are some features I would like to see added, but overall it's pretty decent.
