To any dev or other person that has their own website; what software do you use to make you site? I find dreamweaver to be the easiest/best- what's your opinion?

Have you ever hear about NVu?

I used once and I think that it is easier to use than Dreamweaver...

NVu is very good for simple tasks, I do not know how complex do you want to your site to be....

    BTW, NVu is for free....

    Check their web site:

PS: I am not the developer nor the NVu owner, I just used to an IT project at my graduate course

i sometimes do some freelance webdesign and i agree that dreamweaver is probably the most most versatile and robust program for designing websites especially if you want to do some really advanced stuff and you dont have much experience with other languages that are commonly used in webpages like javascript and PHP. its also very good for making databses anb creating forms or or other front-end webpage UIs to manage them and stuff. but nowadays google spreadsheets is really coming up and i tend to use that for simple formmail type forms. its just a a whole lot easier
