I love Santa Barbara in California so I would have to say that the best beach I can think of is Arroyo Burro in Santa Barbara

My favorite beaches are on Maui, especially the black volcanic sand beaches on the road to Hana - just spectacular!
The Mediterranean Sea is part of the Atlantic Ocean and with a average depth of 1,500 metres, it is certainly a good place for fishing and diving for the sporty people around the islands.
There are some fun beaches on the Toronto Islands. Nothing out of the ordinary for most world travelers, but special to people who grew up here.
