Review: 5 stars Reviewed as: TakenXXDeadly Australian AppStore. Review: This is a great game, I don't know how I went past this sim game. I love sim games, and after years of playing simcity, I can tell you that this is probably the closest you are going to get besides the official version made by EA. I love the way you can make buildings, and hurry them. Although this is a great game, it is too easy as you start off with loads and loads of cash, but that quickly doesn't really matter as you need a lot of money to buy buildings and upgrades as you progress throughout the game. This game is like it was meant to be made on touch screen. The mapping on this game is pretty big, and you can explore throughout it by using roads. The taxi system is also pretty cool, and it is used as public transportation. The residential system is pretty cool, you can use it to employ them in jobs, similar to tiny tower. The graphics are superb, especially in HD graphics. The music inside the game is relaxing, it's a great game to pick up and play after a long day of work. Overall, this game is an awesome sim game, I can't believe I went past it, I would pay money for this game. This game makes me want to delete simcity deluxe off my iPad. This is a 5 star game, and it is definitely worth it. Get it now, it's also free!

I'm still not ok with how the contest description is worded, but the game itself is an extremely well done freemium Sim City-like game. There are numerous variants on the create a city/farm/kingdom on the appstore, but this one really gets the original delicious Sim City motif down well. More importantly, the nicely designed interface for the iPad is a breeze to use, which makes managing your country a thorough joy. I'm not a big fan of freemium games since they are so heavily tilted towards requirement of iAP in later levels but I can see myself spending time with this game every now and then just to check in on everything. I'll post a more detailed review later after sinking a few hours into the game. Also, I would recommend posting better screenshots for the app, the current ones don't really do the game justice. I'm sure you can come up with better ones detailing the great features. Also, it's better if you use full area for the screenshot instead of posting it against a background wasting precious space.

Reviewed version 1.0.1: atopix - US store Extremely Impressive! My Country HD is the best sim I've ever played! Such sophisticated style and simplistic details haven't been overlooked as everything drips of quality. Anything you'll need for the most complete experience is right here, including a brand new bus transit system! (Very awesome!) Viewing the ever changing surroundings is beautiful graphically as your "DREAM CITY" evolves before your very eyes! Richly flourished visuals and extremely colorful in delivery, My Country HD looks better than any other sim I've ever played. The interface is delightfully easy to navigate, making novices feel like pro's within a matter of minutes! Each one of this developers titles has gotten better and better but this one is extremely impressive! Thank you very much for the contest!

Please take things in context I tried the game out and was very pleasantly surprised to find it not only competent but pretty damn amazing.
Submitted review as billyjon on iTunes USA: This game lets me experience the thrill of building an actual city in front of me. Few people have the luxury to watch that in real life. Even such games are present in Facebook, but there are distractions present to disrupt the progress of the game. The lovely music in the game helps me to concentrate on playing the game. Almost every action is followed by a window prompt that asks the gamer for a decision. For example, when building a city, you can choose to wait or pay a certain sum of money to get it done asap. That is similar to an actual business decision in the corporate world. This game somewhat make me decide what to do versus having to save certain amount of money to do something else like building a road etc. The game makes it easier for people to build roads. You just need to slide your fingers to control the place of the roads to build. Once that is done, you will see the cars following the direction of the new roads. It is really a new city in place with you as the creator! I enjoyed this game very much!
