No they won't update it to support the iPod Touch 2G. They would've supported it if they could. If you want to play the latest games you'll have to buy a newer device. Yes that sucks, but technology has to move forward.
I guess I'll pick it up for 1 dollar and play when I get my 5th gen device in september..(when itouchs are released)
