From 2dBoy's website, my understanding is that the iPad version will be expanded to add support for iPhones and iTouches, so the iPad version's next update will basically include support for all iDevices. This new version coming out on April 14th will be iPhone and iPod only - *no* iPad support. Otherwise, the actual iPod and iPhone support in both versions will be the same, so both will have "retina" graphics, etc. When I say "all iDevices" above I'm not meaning certain older generations of course.
It will be an update for the iPad app to make it universal. Should be in Stores anytime tommorrow, but for me most likely on midnight in 2DBoys location. Just a guess. No separate app = no release = no thread.
Ok but I thought TWO versions were getting released - well one release one update. One iPod/iPhone only and the iPad was getting a universal update. Why? I still don't understand. So, since every time I read this thread I get more confused I think I will just wait until there is some concrete news/thread/announcement/update.
Yeah, you're right. I thought there would be only one universal app. Than we can only guess that it will be relessed when the update goes live. Let's just wait and see, it still can pop up anytime soon.
well considering the dev says it comes out tomorrow I still think it will be in the store at 11 Eastern time
Where is the problem? Not everybody has an iPad ... so it is fair to sell a cheap iPhone / iPod version ... But for all the people who purchased the more expensive iPad Version it is a bonus to have a "free" iPhone version after the update ...

Nope. You were still wrong. You said it'll come out as soon as it was approved. Its already approved (or else 2D boy wouldnt be able to give us a release date) and not out yet. Why its not showing up in NZ store yet is something only the devs might know. Maybe they'll release it manually tomorrow instead of setting a release date in itunes connect.
Yes. Maybe they want the iPhone version to go live alongside the update for ipad version. Since updates cant be scheduled like NZ releases, their only option will be release the iPhone version and the iPad update manually only.

Haha jeez superman I'm just saying I was right it could be released whenever, but that doesn't matter. What I really want to know is win will the universal HD update coming? Tonight, or when?
